radiorevolt What is the FCC (Federal Communications Commission)?

The Federal Communications Commission is an independent governmental agency with a direct responsibility to Congress. Established by the Communications Act of 1934, the Commission is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable, or, in short, spectrum management. It is not a legislative or law-enforcing body but rather authors administrative and technical regulations.
